Penn Admissions will not require the SAT or ACT through the 2023-24 first-year and transfer admissions cycles. Applicants who do not submit SAT or ACT scores will not be at a disadvantage in the admissions process. Students who are able to take the SAT or ACT and wish to report them may continue with that plan. For more information, please see our Testing page and our revised testing policy for students planning to apply through the 2023-2024 admissions cycle.
Penn will continue to follow the guidance and policies of the Ivy League regarding testing requirements for applicants who expect to participate in the varsity athletic program, and will not require recruited athletes to submit standardized testing through the 2023-24 application cycle. For more information, please see the Ivy League’s webpage for prospective student athletes.
International applicants may be required to submit English Proficiency test scores. For more information, please visit our website.
